“Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.” - Psalm 37:5
Ever since I was a girl, I knew I felt a calling on my life to serve the Lord. How, I wasn’t exactly sure. I explored mission work as a young lady at the age of 13 teaching Vacation Bible School in the summer at a small southern KY church along with several other mission trips. I considered Youth Ministry as I got a little older and worked with kids at National Youth Conferences. But those things didn’t seem quite right. Life happened, I created a career in Makeup Artistry which overlapped time to time with Ministry serving some of the greatest female Pastors in our country today. After exploring seminary post graduate programs, I found a program at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi which combined the study of Leadership and Ministry and I knew it was perfect given my past love for Leadership Development. After getting the Master’s Degree, I have continued to learn, network and grow in the Lord specifically learning how to uplift and support other women.
I get this was a REALLY long time ago, however it has helped form who I am as a leader so through the years here is some of my leadership experience:
1997 Served on my FIRST Teen Leadership Board serving Northern Kentucky TLC/CLC Leadership Conferences which I served on until 1999.
2000 - President of Freshman Service Leadership Committee at Northern Kentucky University
2001 - FIRST Student Director of the Northern Kentucky Leadership Institute
2002 - Chairman of Cooperate Leadership Conference with Proctor and Gamble
2003 - Chairman of Cooperate Leadership Conference with Toyota
2003 - NLS Fall Leadership Retreat Chair
2003 - Class of Leadershape Institute
2004 - President of Norse Leadership Society and Vice President of Delta Zeta Sorority
When you spend your formative years of youth focused on leadership and pouring into others to become strong leaders as well it becomes a part of who you are. With this passion I have worked as an “adult” on several leadership development projects with 7 Hills Church through the years. Serving in very different ways doing everything from conference set up to cooking in the kitchen, coordinating the “green room” experience for guest Pastors, to organizing the “after party” Ladies Night Out with hairdresser stations and Dillard’s Department Store as a sponsor. (SO FUN, BTW). I am VERY grateful for these opportunities to help people develop in their own leadership journey but to also serve the church.

Death Companioning
What is this? Death Companioning can mean many things. It can mean one on one attention with the family pre and post death to help with the grieving process. It can mean helping the person who is experincing the presence of death with their emotions and spirituality. It can also mean being a “Death Dula”. As a Birth Dula ushers in life with helping make arrangements for the birth, help in the birthing moment and helps after the birth, a Death Dula is similar. I can help the person who is dying with making their final arrangements and fufilling their wishes, help navigate the death process and after the death help the family with honoring their loved one as best as possible. I have a Death Companioning Certification from the School of American Thanatology. Bottom line, death is difficult but I am here to help. Reach out with any questions and I can help customze a plan for your need.
